The HKSAR Government established the "BUD Fund" (Dedicated Fund on Branding, Upgrading and Domestic Sales) in June 2012. The BUD Fund aims to support Hong Kong enterprises in developing their brands, upgrading and transforming their operations, as well as expanding into the domestic market to explore and develop local business opportunities. The BUD Fund consists of two main schemes: the Mainland Programme and the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Programme. Enterprises can apply for funding from the BUD Fund under either or both the Mainland Programme and the FTA Programme.
